fast and far is a powerful band with strong vocals and unique melodies. The sound is a modern mixture of rock and pop containing influences including Radiohead, Garbage, The Verve, Smiths, and U2.

They are based in Austin, TX and in a relatively short time together have gained serious attention and are quickly becoming a fervent contender on the music scene. With multiple live appearances on the leading rock radio station KLBJ, headlining shows booked all through the remainder of the year, label interest, and two small tours, fast and far is proving their sound cannot and will not be ignored.

Strangeways was formed in the summer of 1999 with Mike and Soto. Since then it has grown into the band that makes them up now.

Every member of fast and far shares a passion and ambition for the music. The year 2000 has found the band with much success, progress, and excitement on their hands. The band looks forward to showing its' unique and refreshing vision and sound to audiences everywhere.
